Something about Aristotle

Public Talk, 1.00 - 2.00 pm, 20 March 2019.

Featured Speaker:Kevin O'Dea
Venue:Launceston Lodge Salvation Army Venue

Based on something about aristotle by Professor Edith Hall (2018)

Aristotle was the star pupil of Plato in the ancient Greek philosophical world. Theosophical discourse has been influenced by the Neo-Platonic stream known as Perennial Philosophy, which explores the inner realms of human existence. Aristotle explored the issue of subjective happiness, as distinct from objective happiness measured by onlookers. He is also regarded as the father of the modern sciences in that he developed the method of observing the natural world around him, which is still in vogue over two thousand years after his death.

This book, published in 2018, by Professor Edith Hall, is a brilliant exploration of Aristotle's philosophy as it applies to the modern world of 2019.
